First solution:
  • Check that the game is not being used by another program.
  • If you download the game via a torrent, move the game to another disk on your computer.
  • Do not put the game files in a secure folder.
  • Make sure your game and related files are not blocked by your antivirus or security program.
  • Right-click on your game folder, then "properties". Then uncheck the "read-only" box and do "Ok" and "apply these changes to this folder, subfolders, and files".
  • Open the options of the explorer of files, tab display then validate "Show the files, folders and hidden drives". Go to your C drive, open the ProgramData folder and delete or rename the BlizzardEntertainment folder if it exists.
  • Use CCleaner or another similar program to clean your locations.
  • Go to your game folder and delete the Cache and WTF folder.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Firestorm launcher.
  • Try to launch the game as an administrator.
  • If it still doesn't work, right-click on firestorm.exe (or WoW.exe) then "properties" tab Compatibility, and check "Run this program in compatibility mode for: "Windows 7". Repeat the operation for firestorm-64.exe.
